Why I suggest you avoid OfficeMax

Main Menu In my opinion, you will avoid potential problems by avoiding OfficeMax, and instead using Staples, OfficeDepot, or Costco for your office supply needs. I have wasted significant time, and incurred significant aggrivation in my dealings with OfficeMax,and I intend not to make any further purchases from them.

My problem with OfficeMax is the result of a computer disk drive purchase for which a $45 rebate was advertised. I never received the rebate despite repeated followup, including resubmission of the copies of my original submition. OfficeMax's rebate processers claim to have never received the required documentation. I believe their rebate processing department intentionally loses submissions and stalls on followups in order to deny rebate requests that were properly submitted.

Even if you are not purchasing an item for which a rebate applies, I would suggest avoiding Office Max, since it is my belief that a company that uses fraudulent practices in one part of their business might do so in another. A such, I would expect you might have similar problems if an item you purchased is defective and required a return. In my opinion, such a company is likely also to engage in other deceptive practices.

If anyone has had better experience with OfficeMax and would like to convince me that my complaint with OfficeMax is not representative of their business practices, please contact me at aom@zmbx.us.
